Notes from the May 23, 2012 meeting of:

The Rotary Club of Lake Murray-Irmo

The meeting was called to order by President Jeanette Coulter and the invocation was given by Judy Johnson. Jacqueline Buck followed with a very entertaining segment of Health and Happiness, focused on what kids think about getting married.

District 37770 Governor Paula Matthews presented the following awards:

Bequest Society – Judy Johnson
Paul Harris Society – Rod Funderburk
100% Paul Harris Club – The Rotary Club of Lake Murray-Irmo
Change-Maker Award – The Rotary Club of Lake Murray-Irmo

Following the presentation of those awards, District Governor Matthews shared information about her trip to Cambodia.

President –Elect Larry Stohs introduced our speaker for the morning, Nathan Mains, regional VP with American Funds. Mr. Mains’ presentation, entitled “Rising above the Herd”, was both informative and entertaining.

Following the traditional recitation of the Four-Way Test, the meeting was adjourned.
